Best Tactics Board
I have had several tactics boards but this is the one from 30x40cm Quickplay has lasted the course. Comes with 11 of each colour plus 2 x goalies (magic player) neutrals.
One bit of advice I would have is that not matter what these boards claim in regards to being dry wipe, they never are, so I would stick to using the magnets and leave the pen at home!
- Pros – Durable, double sided.
- Cons – Many dry wipe markers leave a mark on the surface.
Best All Rounder
For matchday and tournaments especially I always have this book on me. I have had squad lists, substitution rotations, tournament timings and rules all at the same time as giving a quick tactics talk.
- Pros – Cheaper and smaller than a board.
- Cons – Magnets aren’t as strong.
Stop WatchLinesman Flags
Available in pairs and boast a high visible orange and yellow chequered design. These linesman flags are perfect for European tournaments and meet professional standards. Linesman flags are supplied with soft grip handles and a carry bag.
Captain's Arm band
Football captains’ armbands for junior (10cm) and senior (12cm) players. Available in blue, green, yellow, fluro yellow, orange, black, and red to match your team colours.
Respect Barrier
Respect barriers are not only a legal requirement for organised football but can help protect your players and officials from over excited parents encroaching the pitch!
- Pros – Easy to setup and put away. Good length for most pitches.
- Cons – Only designed for grass surfaces and can take 2 people to put away.
Stop Watch
I must admit I do not use one of these but sometimes wish I did. For years I have been using a combination of my iPhone and Apple Watch to time games and sub timings. However on more than one occasion a sweaty hand or thigh can reset the timer and I have had a panic! So if you are thinking of getting one, this is a cheap option.
- Pros – Less faffing around, cheap.
- Cons – Yet more things to carry.
